We are thrilled to welcome Tanisha Lyons-Porter as the newest Los Angeles Ambassador for Gloves for Grief.
A dynamic force of resilience and compassion, Tanisha brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience to our mission of transforming pain into purpose.
As the founder of Natural Born Organizers, a Los Angeles-based company dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s biggest transitions—including loss—Tanisha has spent years walking alongside people in moments of profound change. She’s not only a professional organizer and speaker, but a woman whose story is deeply rooted in love, loss, and healing.
A wife of 23 years, proud mother of two adult children, and brand-new grandmother, Tanisha’s heart for service is grounded in her own journey through grief. After losing both of her parents, she sought out holistic and unconventional ways to process her pain—ways that felt authentic and healing to her spirit. That path led her to Gloves for Grief.
“Discovering Gloves for Grief on social media felt like divine alignment,” Tanisha shared. “The mission to honor grief through movement, community, and storytelling resonated with me in a way that words alone couldn’t explain.”
Tanisha’s role as an ambassador marks a new chapter in her healing journey—and in ours. Her presence in the LA community will help us expand our reach, build deeper connections, and continue creating safe spaces where people can move, breathe, and speak their grief out loud.
Please join us in welcoming Tanisha to the Gloves for Grief family. We are so grateful to have her heart, her voice, and her leadership guiding our next steps.

We organize fitness and wellness-inspired events to build a strong community and offer an outlet for physical release.
We are creating a network of mental health professionals and need-based financial assistance to support grieving families beyond our events.
We offer opportunities for post-event connection through referrals to local faith-based support groups, which is what brought our co-founders together.
