Gloves For Grief invites you to a morning of movement, reflection, and community healing in partnership with Hope 4 Grief at Saddleback Church Lake Forest.
As May comes to a close, many of us carry the complex feelings surrounding Mother’s Day with us as we step into June, a month that brings yet another day of celebration. With Father’s Day around the corner, even more hearts are quietly holding the unseen weight of grief.
Whether it’s the loss of a parent, a spouse, a child, a complicated relationship, or the ache of dreams that never came to be, this season can feel especially heavy. Wherever you are in your grief journey, this event is for you.
We believe that grief doesn’t always need words—sometimes, it just needs movement. Our June 13th Box & Breathe Wellness Event offers a safe, supportive space to “Punch Your Pain Into Purpose” through guided boxing, breath work, and community.
What to Expect:
• Empowering shadowboxing and bag work
• A mind – body – soul experience
• Space to reflect, connect, and release
• Light snacks and meaningful community
What to Bring:
• A small workout towel
• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move and sit in
• A yoga mat or larger towel if you prefer while stretching or sitting on the grass
• Personal water bottle if desired. Water will be provided
Whether you’re brand new to boxing or a seasoned mover, you are welcome here. This session is open to both men and women of all ages and all fitness levels—come exactly as you are.
Together, we’ll move through the pain, create space for healing, and remember this truth: “God makes His people strong.” – Psalm 29:11
Let’s turn grief into growth, one punch and one breath at a time.
You are not alone!

We organize fitness and wellness-inspired events to build a strong community and offer an outlet for physical release.
We are creating a network of mental health professionals and need-based financial assistance to support grieving families beyond our events.
We offer opportunities for post-event connection through referrals to local faith-based support groups, which is what brought our co-founders together.
